Monday Night Special- San Diego vs. Oakland
By Ron Jumper

This weekend was a perfect example of why you have to stay humble and level headed. After going 4-1 on Saturday, I was feeling great about my NFL picks for the opening weekend. However, I guess pride really does come before the fall because I fell 4 straight times. None the less, we must press on and get that money back.

San Diego(-3) covers vs. Oakland

This is a game that San Diego should take easily. The Raiders offense doesn't seem to have gelled yet, while the Chargers seem to be 100% behind Phillip Rivers. Though knowing Randy Moss is always amazing on MNF, I have to stress who the best on the field is, which is of course Ladanian Tomlinson. Take into to consideration the Chargers also have the best playmaker on defense in Shawn Merriman and you got yourself a pretty safe bet that the Chargers will take this one. Chargers 31-17

Risk $22 to Win $20

Note from R.C.

I'm kicking myself right now for taking Tennessee, I went against my own logic. One of my rules is to always bet against a team coming off a huge victory, like Florida State and Tennessee this last week. None the less, I'll be back on track next week.
