Free College Football Picks: Week 10
By Ron Jumper

In my eyes, this should be that week that starts to clear things up in the standings as to who is for real and who is just pretending. The ACC, Big 12, Big East, and SEC all have some intriguing match-ups that, thanks to yours truly, you will know the outcome before hand. I hate to spoil it for you since there are so many good games to watch, especially if you don’t know what is going to happen.

West Virginia (-1) covers vs. Louisville

The Mountaineers are just flat out the better team. If Louisville had RB Michael Bush, this would be one of the most amazing showdowns in Big East history. However as great as the Cardinals run has been without Bush, the magic will end Thursday night. Look for West Virginia to dominate this game up front and make plenty of big plays to get ahead early and not look back. West Virginia 31-24

Maryland (+20) covers vs. Clemson

The Terps aren’t the better team here, but the Tigers edge in talent isn’t that large. Expect Maryland to hang around and have a shot in the 4th quarter of stealing this game. The Tigers were brutally beaten last week and should be down this week from the emotional highs they’ve had over the last month. Tigers 21-17

Risk $55 to win $50

Auburn (-29.5) covers vs. Arkansas State

The Tigers are just too much for the Indians in this match-up. For example, the Indians have lost to SMU by 46 and Florida Atlantic by 29 so you do the math. Tigers 42-3

Risk $22 to Win $20

Tennessee (+3.5) covers vs. LSU

My question is just simply how do you come up with this line? The Tigers are certainly capable of covering it, but the Vols are ranked higher and at home, which in case you have lived under a rock Knoxville is a very tough place to play. This is a game where you have to take the odds and the odds favor the Vols. Vols 24-14

Risk $22 to Win $20

Nebraska (-5) covers vs. Missouri

The battle for supremacy in the Big 12 North is taking place right here in Lincoln, Nebraska. Looking back over history, who do think is more likely to reign as division champions? The Cornhuskers are alive and well again, so expect this team to win and go onto to represent the Big 12 North in the conference championship game. Nebraska 28-17
