Free NCAA Bowl Picks: Part III
By Ron Jumper

This is the final installment of picks for the college football season. It has been a great season and I look forward to doing this in the years to come.

Lets get this rolling, shall we...

*Place $30 on ALL Wagers*

USC (+1) covers vs. Michigan

Players To Watch:
WR Steve Smith, USC
WR Dwayne Jarrett, USC
RB Mike Hart, Michigan

The Trojans are very tough to play in the Rose Bowl. As much as I respect Michigan, the Trojans have too much explosive playmakers and a better defense than in the years past. USC 31-24

Oklahoma (-7.5) covers vs. Boise State

Players To Watch:
RB Adrian Peterson, Oklahoma
QB Paul Thompson, Oklahoma
RB Ian Johnson, BSU

The Broncos are a very good football team. However, they just haven't given me good enough reason to think they can play with the big dogs yet. Look at their schedule, all that stands out is Oregon State. The return of Adrian Peterson should be too much for the Broncos to handle. OU 28-17

Louisville (-10) covers vs. Wake Forest

Player To Watch:
QB Brian Brohm, Lou

The Cardinals are just too explosive for the Deamon Deacons. As magical as Wake has played, they can't keep up with Louisville. Expect an impressive outing from Bobby Petrino's crew. Cardinals 31-14

LSU (-9) covers vs. Notre Dame

Players To Watch:
QB Jamarcus Russel, LSU
QB Brady Quinn, Notre Dame

Speed. Speed. Speed. The Tigers are too athletic to allow the Fighting Irish to make plays. The athletic Tiger receivers should rack up a huge YAC average in this game. Expect a bad farewell for Quinn. LSU 31-10

Western Michigan (+8.5) covers vs. Cincinatti

Expect the Bearcats to be out of sinc in this game. I don't see how a coach can take over for the last game of the season. Head Coach Bryan Kelly has a lot of work to do. Meanwhile, this is a very underrated Broncos club. Cincy 21-20

Southern Miss (-6) covers vs. Ohio

The Bobcats are just simply outmanned. They won games in the MAC due to running the football and not making mistakes. Southern Miss won't allow that to be enough. The Golden Eagles are the superior team by a long shot. Southern Miss 28-7

Florida (+8) covers vs. Ohio State

Players To Watch:
QB Troy Smith, OSU
WR Ted Ginn Jr., OSU
QB Chris Leak, Florida

The Gators haven't gotten enough credit for making it through the SEC with only 1 loss. The SEC is the deepest conference in the nation by far. On the other side Ohio State is the more talented team. Expect a closer game than the experts think. OSU 31-28
